potato podimas
Ingredients
1/2 kg  potatoes
4  tsp oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp bengalgram dal
1/2 tsp split urad dal
2 green chillies chopped
1/2 tsp Ginger chopped Few curry leaves
Finely chopped coriander leaves
1/2 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Salt    To taste







Method
Wash the potatoes , cut these in to 4 pieces and boil the potatoes. Don" over cook it. Drain it and peel the skin and mash it with   the back of the spoon. The potatoes pieces should be visible .Heat oil in a pan  reduce the flame add the mustard seed and bengal gramdal , urad dal . When it splutters, add the green chillies, curry leaves, ginger  and turmeric powder to it. Add mashed potatoes and salt ,slowly mix well. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes and switch off the stove. Add finely chopped coriander leaves, and lemon juice and mix well. Serve with rice/rotis/puris.
