Venn pongal


Ingredients
Raw rice – 1cup
Moong dal -1/2 cup
Turmeric powder- A pinch
Water-3 cup
Curry leaves-5
Cashews-10
Pepper- 1/2 .spoon
Cumin seeds- 1/2
Ginger -a small piece finely chopped
Ghee -1/2 .spoon
Salt- 1 .spoon
Method
Cook rice, moong  dal, turmeric powder with water and keep it aside. Fry pepper, cumin seeds, Curry leaves, and ginger in 2 .spoon ghee, and add this to cooked rice. Fry cashews in 1 spoon ghee, add to the rice. Add salt and remaining ghee and mix well.
