Thattai


Ingredients
Rice flour          - 5 cups
Urad dhal flour  - 1/2cup
Grated coconut -2 Tsp
Roasted gram dal- 1 Tsp
Butter                - 2 Tsp
Sesame seeds/Ellu - 1Tsp
Chilli powder     - 1Tsp
Salt  - To taste
Oil  - For frying

Method
Take a bowl and mix all the ingredients except oil .
Add water little by little and make a thick soft dough.
Divide it in to small sized balls.
Take a Thick plastic sheet to flatten the thattai.
Grease oil to you fingers and the sheet so that the thattai will not stick to the sheet.
Take one at a time and press it in to a 0.5cm thickness and 4inch diameter. If it breaks add very little water and mix.( See the above picture)
Prick it with a fork to avoid puffing up.
Deep fry till golden colour and collect it in a kitchen napkin.
