Paneer makhani is a simple Punjabi recipe. Paneer makhani is made using tomato, paneer, ginger, garlic, and cream. It is served with roti naan, poori, Parata. Even you can taste paneer makhani with ghee rice or jeera rice. Now we will see how to make paneer makhani at home.

Ingredients

Paneer cubes -   1 cup
Tomatoes -        4
Cashew nuts  -   5
Green chilly  -   1



Ginger paste   -  1/2 spoon
Garlic paste -            1/2 spoon
Butter  -                     2spoons
Turmeric -                 Little
Cinnamon -                small
Bay leaves  -              2
Cardamom -               2
Cloves  -                     2
Chilli powder -           1spoon
Garam masala -          1 spoon
Kasuri methi  -            1spoon
Fresh cream -              1/2 cup
Coriander leaves-        2 spoon
Salt -                           As required

Method

Soak cashew nuts and paneer in hot water in two different cups.
Puree the tomatoes and cashew nuts.
Heat butter in a Kadai, add green chillies, ginger, garlic, cinnamon, bay leaves, cardamom, cloves, turmeric one by one,  add tomato puree, salt, and chilli powder. Mix well and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until this mixture is half cooked.
Add one cup of water.
Drain the paneer and put it in the gravy.
Add Kasuri methi and garam masala.
Add fresh cream and cook just for a minute and switch off the stove.
Transfer this into a serving bowl and garnish it with coriander leaves.
