Almond Rolls
Ingredients:
Filling
1Kg Almonds Kernels (Thickly Grated)
5tbsp Sugar
5tbsp finely grated rusk
1nutmeg
Syrup
1kg sugar
3glasses water
Peel of 1 lemon
Juice of 1 lemon
A pinch of vanilla powder
Dough
2glasses water
2cups oil
Flour as required
A pinch of salt


HOW TO MAKE ALMOND ROLL:
Mix the ingredients for the dough & knead well to make elastic dough
Roll out the dough into a thin filo sheet
Mix all ingredient to make the filling
Spread the filling over the filo sheet & roll it into a cylinder, ensuring that the filling is in the centre
Cut the cylinder into even pieces & pour heated oil on each.
Bake at 350DegreesF until Golden Color
Prepare the syrup by mixing all syrup ingredients
Remove the baked sweets from the oven & pour the cold syrup over them.
