Rava dosa


Rava dosa (Kannada: à²°à²µೆ ದೋಸೆ) (((Tamil: ரவா தோசை))), also called Ravvattu (Telugu: à°°à°µ్వట్à°Ÿు) is an Indian crepe of South India. It is a derivative of the popular Dosa .  It is made with rava, especially Bombay rava ('rave' in Kannada, 'ravai' in Tamil) or semolina, which doesn't need fermentation and is usually considered a fast tiffin.

Ingredients
Rice flour           - 1 cup
Semolina/rava    - 1/2 cup
Maida               -  1/4 cup 
Jeera                -  1Tsp
Green chillies    -  2 chopped
Hing                 - 1 pinch
Salt                  - To taste
Curry leaves     - 2 Tsp chopped
Coriander leaves- 2 Tsp chopped
Pepper             - 1/2 Tsp
Cashew nuts     - 10
Grated ginger    - 1/2 Tsp
Water              - As required
Oil                   - As required
Method
Add all the ingredients except oil one by one in a large vessel to make a thin batter. 
 Mix thouroughly without any lumps. Just wait for an hour.
 Now heat a non stick tawa for a minute and spread a drop of oil in the tawa. 
Spread 1 cup of rava dosa batter in circular motion .
 Start from the outside and then fill the centre portion. Spread 1 tsp of oil in the side of the dosa.
Allow it to cook for 2 minutes until the corner becomes red. Turn the side and cook till the dosa becomes crisp.
Collect it in a plate and serve with chutney and sambar.
